Triage: Statuses & Notes

As you work through exposures, statuses and notes keep your team's review organized so nothing falls through the cracks. Statuses record where each exposure source sits in your review workflow; notes capture the context behind a decision.

Add a note

Step 1: Open an entity's side sheet — an exposure source, T1 supplier, or product — and go to the Details (or Overview) tab's Notes section.

Step 2: Click Add a note…, type the note, and click Save.

A saved note records attribution — who added it and when (for example, "Updated by user@altana.ai · [date]") — and a Note saved confirmation appears.

Set a status

An exposure or supplier can hold any of six statuses: Not Assessed, In Review, Reviewed, Approved, Escalated, and Not Trusted. There are two ways to set one:

  • In the side sheet — use the Status dropdown on the Details or Overview tab.
  • In the table (bulk) — tick the checkbox on one or more rows. A selection action bar appears at the bottom (N selected · Clear Selection · Requests · Status). Click Status, choose a value, and a progress modal (Updating Exposure Source Status…) confirms the change.

How statuses flow through the workspace

When you change a status, the row's Source Status cell updates and the Exposures by Status chart updates with it — for example, an item moving from Not Assessed to Escalated. You can then filter by Source Status to isolate everything in a given state and work through it as a queue.

Key terms

  • Status — the assessment state of an exposure source or supplier (Not Assessed, In Review, Reviewed, Approved, Escalated, Not Trusted).
  • Notes — free-text analyst notes attached to an entity, with author and timestamp.
