Statuses & Review States
Every check has its own statuses, and every line and entry rolls up to a single review state. Read this page from the bottom up: check-level statuses drive line status, line statuses drive entry status.
Check-level statuses
Exposure checks — Forced Labor, Denied Party, AML, Counter-Narcotics

| Exposure detected | The check found a match or exposure on this line |
| No exposure detected | The check ran and found nothing |
COO Misdeclaration
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Likely misdeclared | Altana's predicted COO diverges from the declared COO |
| Accepted as provided | The declared COO is consistent with Altana's assessment |
| Not assessed | The check has not run on this line |
HS Classification
Classification status reflects both where the line is in the process and how the classification was resolved, in a single column:

| Needs review | No accepted classification yet — a reviewer needs to act |
| Accepted as provided | The code you submitted was accepted |
| Accepted as suggested | Altana's suggested code was accepted |
| Manually classified | A reviewer entered the code directly |
Where automatic classification is enabled for an account, high-confidence suggestions are auto-accepted and marked as AI-classified; lines below the confidence threshold remain Needs review. Full detail on any classification — the suggestion, confidence, and acceptance history — is in the line's side sheet.
Line-level status
All check results on a line roll up to one of two states:

| Needs review | At least one check on this line requires action |
| No action required | Every check on this line is clear or resolved |
Entry-level status
The same two states, aggregated across all lines: an entry is Needs review if any line needs review, and No action required once every line is clear. This is the status shown in the entries table on the home view — your queue, at a glance.
