Respond to Requests You Receive

When a customer invites you to collaborate or asks you for information, you respond through a Product Passport. You connect the passport to a product in your Catalog, complete what they've asked for, and share it back. You stay in control of what you provide.

Respond to a request

When a customer invites you to collaborate or asks you for information, it appears as an incoming request on your home page. Requests are made and answered within a Product Passport.

  1. Find your incoming requests on your home page and open one to see the product passports it covers. To collaborate, connect a passport to a product in your Catalog: link it to an existing product, or add it as a new product if it isn't in your Catalog yet.
  2. Open the passport and find the Requests section, then open the request to see what your customer has asked for. A request can ask you to provide fields, documents, value chain information, or something else through a custom request.
  3. Complete each item within the passport, then check it off the list. If you have a question about an item, open its comment to message your customer directly in the request item.
  4. When you've completed every item, check them off so your customer can see the request is done.

Customers can also ask you for organization-level information, such as facility addresses or certifications. Respond the same way, in the passport: fill in the requested fields or upload the requested documents, then submit to share them back. To set what you share by default, see Decide What to Share and Accept.

Keep track of everything customers have asked of you in the Received view under Requests.
