Share Information with Governments

The Product Passports you build for your products can carry verified product data to customs and government authorities. When the trade data behind a shipment is validated upstream and shared ahead of time, authorities can clear it faster, and you spend less time answering questions at the border.

Why it matters

Government and customs authorities work from the Product Passports importers submit. Because a passport is a structured, end-to-end record of how a product is sourced, made, and moved, authorities get accurate upstream visibility and can pre-clear shipments instead of inspecting them cold. The work you already do to build complete, verified passports is the same work that supports clearance.

How it works

  • Build complete passports, including the complex trade fields authorities rely on, such as Country of Origin, Free Trade Agreements, HS Codes, and Materials. See Share Information with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Authorities review submitted passports, confirm compliance, and reuse that work across future entries for the same product.

For customs and border authorities. The authority-side experience, including reviewing submitted passports and processing entries, is documented under Passport Manager and the Entry Processing System.
