PGA (Partner Government Agencies)

The PGA lens surfaces the partner and other government agency requirements (for example FDA, EPA, USDA, and CBP) that may apply to your products at import, so you can confirm or disclaim each one and keep a defensible record.

How it works

For each product and import destination, Altana identifies the applicable agency requirements and shows, per requirement: the agency, the program, the requirement details, and a claim or disclaim status. Where you have attached supporting documents, Altana can parse them to extract the relevant values. Products with no applicable requirements show No PGA Required.

How to use it

Each row is a product requirement, with its agency, program, claim status, and a record status of Defaulted (Altana's starting point) or Approved (you have confirmed it).

1. Filter to what needs attention (by status, or by what is assigned to you).
2. Open a row to review the requirement, then claim or disclaim it (with a reason where the agency requires one).
3. Approve the record once it is correct, or reset it back to Defaulted. Approving and resetting are recorded for audit.
4. Assign a requirement to a teammate, attach or re-parse documents, or request information from a supplier where you need it.

You can act on many rows at once with bulk approve, reset, and assign, and download the filtered list.

FAQ

What is a PGA or OGA? A partner government agency (or other government agency) with import requirements beyond standard duties, such as FDA, EPA, or USDA.

What do claim and disclaim mean? Claim indicates the requirement applies and you are meeting it; disclaim indicates it does not apply, with a reason where the agency requires one.
