Kharon Forced Labor Data

Companies flagged for Kharon forced labor risk display a Kharon Profile tab on the Company Profile, giving you Kharon's analyst-verified, entity-level forced labor intelligence without leaving Altana. From the tab, you can review Kharon's company details and risk analysis, and link out to Kharon ClearView for the full risk network and underlying evidence.

Availability: The Kharon integration is a paid add-on and requires an active Kharon license for your organization. Opening the full risk network in Kharon ClearView additionally requires ClearView access from Kharon. If you'd like to learn more about enabling this capability, reach out to your Altana account manager.

When to use Kharon forced labor data

  • When a compliance analyst screening suppliers sees a Kharon forced labor exposure flag and needs the corroborating detail behind it.
  • When an investigator wants to move from an exposure flag in Altana to the partner's source analysis — company identifiers, risk topics, and the connected entities driving the risk — in one continuous workflow.

How it works

  1. Search for a company, or start from any company carrying the Kharon forced labor exposure tag in your search results, explorations, or workspaces.
  2. Open the Company Profile and select the Kharon Profile tab.
  3. Review the company's details as Kharon records them, including addresses, websites, and contact information.
  4. Review the risk analysis: a chart summarizing the company's risk topics, and a risk table listing each risk topic with Kharon's risk exposure score.
  5. Where your organization has ClearView access, select View full risk network in Kharon next to a risk to open the corresponding record in Kharon ClearView.

Direct and indirect exposure

  • Direct — the company appears in Kharon's risk database. The Kharon Profile tab shows the company's full Kharon record.
  • Indirect — the company does not appear directly in Kharon's risk database, but Altana has flagged it because of its connections to Kharon-flagged entities. The tab lists those connected companies, and you can select any of them to view its Kharon company profile.

Outputs and interpretation

The content of the Kharon Profile tab is sourced directly from Kharon and retrieved when you open the tab, so it reflects Kharon's current data. Risk topics and the risk exposure score are Kharon's assessments, not Altana's. For questions about Kharon's data or methodology, contact your Kharon representative.

Constraints and caveats

  • The integration is scoped to Kharon's forced labor risk data. Other Kharon risk domains are not included.
  • The tab retrieves its data when opened — the tab itself does not indicate in advance whether a company has a Kharon record.
  • Some risk topic labels reflect the formatting of the source data.
